Dr. Deborah Robbins has a B.A. and a Ph.D. in Architecture, with an emphasis in Architectural and Urban History, from the University of California at Berkeley. Her graduate work included minor studies in History and Art History. While a graduate student, she was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship for a year of doctoral research in Rome.
Dr. Robbins was born and raised in Berkeley, California, and has also lived in Arizona, and in Rome, Italy. She moved to Los Angeles in 1985 to teach at the University of Southern California. She taught at USC and the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-ARC) from 1985 to 1990. After a hiatus from teaching, Dr. Robbins returned to teach at the high school level at University High in 1999.
